Chasing CanFish CF1 Live Underwater Fishing Camera

I bought the Chasing CF1 hoping it would be the perfect underwater camera for ice fishing, and while the HD video quality is seriously impressive, the factory mount design is a total letdown. It only mounts from the bottom, which makes it awkward to use in vertical drops or mid-water column setups. The camera kept tilting weirdly and the cable was always in the way. Then I found this top-mount upgrade fin, and it COMPLETELY changed the game. It lets you angle the camera exactly how you want—up, down, forward, or straight down—and it takes all the stress off the cable. It's made of high-quality PETG plastic and fits like a glove. Doesn’t block the lens either. Now this thing is the best underwater camera I’ve ever used, hands down. If you’re using the CF1 without this upgrade, you’re not getting the full experience. Highly recommend!

It is something cool we think going to have lots fun on the lake, making it perfect for fishing, diving, or marine observation. The durable, waterproof design holds up well, and the easy setup is a plus. A must-have for anyone who loves underwater adventures! After opening the package, I can’t say much about the quality. The workmanship and details are very good. The device connection is simple and the camera has good clarity. It is an indispensable device for those who like wild fishing and live broadcasting. You can buy it now.

It’s a great product for my man. He loves fishing and we tried it out this morning in the lake. It was really fun and nice to see inside the water. Unbelievable nice cool gift for you if you love fishing too. I would say Highly recommend it

The camera takes very clear pictures. You can see clearly even if you turn on the infrared mode at night. It has a long standby time. It is easy to operate and very useful.

I just received the goods today and can't wait to open it and do some research. Although it is a little expensive, the quality is very good and the clarity is very high. It is much better than the fish finder I bought last year. The ceiling of the fish finder!

The product quality is excellent, the packaging is exquisite, and the clarity of the water test video is much better than other brands purchased by fishing friends. You get what you pay for, highly recommend.

Easy to use

Out of the box, just following the quick start-up directions, it took about an hour to actually get it to work. The video quality is excellent. We just wanted something that would let us watch our backyard pond fish underwater, and this does a fine job for that. But... DIRECTIONS DIRECTIONS DIRECTIONS! You can watch YouTube tutorials, or download a little manual from the canfish website, but either way, there are too many unanswered questions, like: 1. Initially, tried wired connection with the USB cable. All I could ever get on my phone app was a red message saying the connection "failed". No instructions on what causes this, what to do, what to check. Gave up and went to wireless. 2. Wireless set up was as per the instructions, and it worked. But there are vague notes about switching between 2.4 / 5 GHz. The instructions say there is a button on the side of the base station. But the app has a "5 GHz" button. I flipped that, and it said it would be used after a restart. But after I did that, I lost connection, and evern after rebooting, could not get the base station back. I had to turn the base off and restart the app to get them to connect. But even then, there is no information about changing the CHANNEL in either band (2.4 or 5). I'm trying to get more wireless range and wanted to try other wifi channels to see if they would work better, but there is no info on this. 3. Default password to the base station is "12345678". But how do I change that from the default? I assume there is a web interface of some sort to the base station, since it is really just a specialized wifi access point, but there is zero information on this. Wireless range. 50m? No way. Maybe 50 feet is more like it. I can barely make it to 80 feet, completely unobstructed, line-of-sight, across my back yard, before the connection drops completely. For the price and what it does, it's a good product. But it desperately needs instructions and support.

I bought this camera for identifying the composition of bait balls that I often come across while fishing off the central coast of California. Some species I'll stop and catch for live bait and others I'll pass on. I've only used the camera a couple of times so far and it works exactly as I'd hoped. I fabricated a way of attaching it to my downrigger weight and send it down and back that way.

The fish finder has a clear picture, is easy to carry, and has complete functions. The main line of the probe is soft and easy to cast. It is the best I have ever used!

The workmanship is exquisite, and every workpiece is exquisite and compact. The picture is clear, and fish activities in deep water areas can be clearly observed, even if the water is relatively turbid. It would be better if the repeater could be designed to be able to be plugged into a mobile power supply. In addition, it would be more convenient to use the cable winder if it could be designed as a rotating shaft.

Used ice fishing and love this product. It is easy to set up and picture quality is great when used in a dark ice house. Great product at the price point.

After struggling with an action camera for a few years, I decided to invest in a this underwater camera. It gives me an accurate reading of the lake bed at various depths and also has a long lasting battery which is great for longer fishing sessions.

Bought this item for my father for fathers day as we always wanted to see what was going on under the ice when fishing! Device was super easy to use, and can modify the camera angle and settings for great view in any setting. Camera is very clear! Very fair price for item as well. Love it!

I have used this 4 times already this winter at depths of up to 30 feet. Picture was great in clear water and good in semi clear water. Overall, for the price you pay, this is a great product.

In my opinion, I'm happy with the videos and images it produces. The provided application works perfectly with the camera and has very convenient features. The image is very stable. I tested it underwater and was very happy with it. The image quality of the camera is very good, connecting to the phone via the dedicated app is very easy, the connection is stable, and the setup is very easy. I think it has the perfect size and quality. A very good underwater camera, perfect for taking pictures of fish, worth buying.

Great camera! Battery lasts a solid 8 hours. Nice size screen. Works well even in the dark after the sun goes down. This is a game changer for ice fishing.

The camera works very well and produces some great video. I really like the size of the screen. The battery has lasted very well while we've been using it icefishing. The infrared light has allowed for some great night videos.
