I decided to invest in the Fishing CamX underwater camera to take my fishing game to the next level. After a few outings with it, I've found that it has some solid features but also a few drawbacks.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these right after the release. If you’ve ever wondered what lurks below the surface of the water, this camera is going to blow your mind! From the very first cast out on legendary Lake St Clair, the camera almost landed on a smallmouth bass. The amount of different species I picked up while filming was incredible. The camera is easy to setup through the app. The battery life is over two hours of continuous recording between recharging and the clarity of the images is excellent. Works pretty good. And very good for the price. You can control the lights and the quality of the picture. Battery last for a good few hours being on. But the connection on live is not that good.
This thing works really well, the camera is super clear. We took this for a test in our pond on the property and we were able to see the fish, weeds And everything pretty much at the bottom of the pond. The battery lasted for a good while and it’s very durable.
The fishing camera, bobber, charger, and app worked perfectly. It was fun to see what ponds look like underwater. The camera is very high quality, even when underwater.
I gotta say, even though the live underwater view stops when it's underwater, since it's wireless, the second you pull it out, you can check out everything that just went down right on the app. It's honestly super handy and has made my fishing way more exciting. Definitely recommend it.
A great little camera. It changed the way i rig my live baits after watching the footage. Then i managed to snagg some awesome footage of a Marlin and Dolphin fish
Even on calm days, the underwater view keeps the experience dynamic and engaging.
I got great video in 70 plus feet of water and I did learn that if the waves are big not to rest the rod in the rod holder. That makes the video move up and down so that you can't capture what you want. But I can't wait to use it again.

This photo was taken at 70 feet down in some murky water. The fish was as interested the camera as the lure, but eventually did take the bait. Lots of fun. Easy to use and transfer files
Bottom fishing. Had to put a float as for the videos to come up right. Without the float - not the one included- I jests saw bottom. Overall it is a nice camera worth the $$. It’s is light, casts nice even with 6oz sinker. I recommend it.
As a YouTube angler, I’ve used quite a few products designed to capture underwater fishing action in my day. I don't know how to really explain the feeling of not only seeing fish come into the view of camera but the actual excitement to see what they truly do with different types on bait. This camera has really allowed me to almost study the behaviors of many fishing spots we frequent. It's worth it, I'll ge picking up a second one when I have some extra cash.
